This wil be my first post and I have searched through the forum but no luck
Looks like this ball joint is part of the hinge, but will ask here fo find if there is someone that have a fix without replacing the whole hinge.
As you can see the ball joint for the power lifter has broken off and I can not find any replacement. the ball joint for the power lifter
Is there a way to fix this without replacing the hinge?
That looks like the ball joint for a gas strut. Does your CLK have a power opening rear deck lid? If it is the same ball joint as a gas strut I would suggest buying a cheap one from an auto parts store as they usually come with the ball joints.

Yes its a ball joint for a gas strut fur the power opening, but its also is the fixing for the hinge, with gears to not make it turn (i guess)
Not sure if a cheap standard one will do the same?
