Just wondering what aftermarket head units other w209 clk owners are rocking and where to purchase them? I see a lot of options online but can’t tell which one to get.
Have to be careful with the aftermarket junk. There is so much of it online. I had a aftermarket Apple car play unit and it just kept cutting out. There is also no support when things go wrong and believe me they do. Cutting out, slow to start up. I went back to OEM. While dated it is much more reliable. Maybe just upgrade to a OEM navigational unit? Add a aux cord?
I went with pioneer.. works great! Not cheap thou. With the Mercedes, there’s a certain piece you have to get w/the install. I can quite recall what the name is.. at the moment.
I tried adding an aftermarket unit from Crutchfield to my '07 CLK 350 and was never able to get my steering wheel controls to work despite several hours on the phone with their tech support. I ending up returning the unit and adding a Comand unit with navigation, it all works great including my cell phone connection.
