CLK320 Cabrio ESP/SRS

2005 W209 CLK320 Cabrio

I have an ESP/SRS dash warning.
Ran scans with Autel MBV2, Launch GDS 431X, and Xentry/DAS C3.
I can not clear any of the codes.
I replaced the clockspring/steering angle sensor with a genuine MB A2094640718.
Still cannot clear codes.
If I look at live data, none of the three scanners see the wheel turning as I turn the steering wheel.
I pulled the lower dash and found no wires standing out as disconnected or cut or damaged.
A couple of codes indicate bad steering wheel sensor (brand new), and I get some CAN bus errors. I get no codes from the SAMs,
I have live errors for:
R12/13 resistance to large (driver air bag ignition squib 1) - What is a "squib"?
R12/14 resistance to large (driver air bag ignition squib 2)
R12/1 resistance too large (Driver ETR ignition squib)
R12/2 resistance too large (Front passenger ETR ignition squib)

I have DTCs - see attached pictures of the read out (way too much for this old guy to type)
I can't clear any of these codes.
I am guessing I have a bad connection somewhere before the clockspring/steering angle sensor.
Am I on the correct path? Does anybody have any suggestions on what to look for?
The above actuation errors and the pictured DTCs is all there is. No other systems/modules indicate faults.
Thank You

The three current and stored codes I find in Xentry/DAS all show low resistance referencing N2/7.
So I will be going into the center dash to check it's connections.
Anybody here have any other ideas?

A squib is a small explosive device, in this case probably to fire the airbag. I does sound like you may have a bad connection in there. Even a tiny amount of dirt or corrosion on a pin could create too much resistance for the control module to be happy.
