That is very messed up. Especially the part about her leaving the scene and saying she was car jacked. Then to only have a $500 bail after Killing somebody, Driving Drunk, Leaving the scene and Lying to police. I've seen higher bails for people with suspended licenses. That's not fair!!!!!!!!!! jmo..

I agree, that is horrible. They def need a higher state police presence on the pike at those times.

I've never used my wipers. I put Rain-X on my front windshield and rain just streams UP my windshield and off the roof. The streaming effect is pretty cool looking, actually, it's like stars. Visibility is actually better than using wipers.

Damn, he's Indian too, tragic man, she should be locked up, and what does Mercedes have to say about the faulty wipers. You buy a 50k car, and the stupid wipers don't work.

Hope he wasn't part of the forums, can anyone confirm this?

Prayers go out to his family.

I use RainX too and I agree that it does increase visibility since the water drops bead on the windshield. At the same time, like the bottle says and from what I see, it shouldn't replace the wipers but complement them instead.

My wiper blade insert came loose during a rain storm, causing my windshield to be scratched.

MB ordered replacement windshield and I will have it replaced at my 1st scheduled maintenance in a few weeks.

I hope this will not be a recurring problem.

Thanks for the Alert
So sorry to hear about someone losing their life due to faulty aero windshield wipers.

I've had my CLK 320 convertible [2005, gold ext./cream int., 87K] for two weeks, and used the windshield wipers and spray window cleaner for the first time today.

The wipers seem to be rather worn, in terms of streaking on the windshield. Is that part of the defect, or just a sign that they need replacing.

Please describe the problem with them in a little more detail. Appreciate it.

Take a look at this thread, I think it covers your issue.

i have never once used my windshield wipers. There is enough rain-x on my windshield that no water at all stays on it even in light drizzle to heavy violent rain

Rain-X
I hadn't heard of Rain-X and have made note of that.

My auto has rain activated wipers. Did you disengage that feature,
or they just don't turn on?

Thanks for responding.

I use rainx also. When you keep the wipers set to the first position they will automatically turn on. That's the way I have them set.

She must a known somebody. After all, it's MA.

On the other hand, can you imagine if the allegedly murdered 209 owner was a cop or state rep? Some pigs are more equal than others, to quote Orwell.

Duh. Yes, never do anything that risks your safety, I would hope. A sad story.

In my dog car, a PT Cruiser, I sometimes pull very far off the road to walk my darling husky dogs [Sable, 8 yr. blond female princess; Shasta, 14 mo. silver male rascal]. I've ordered a license plate saying "HSKYJOY." [I suppose this is risking my safety. So far no problems, roads not so busy or dangerous.]
