Power Windows no responding to Switches
Hi All - Have just purchased a Dec 02 build CLK320 RHD. It came with "electrical gremlins" as the seller put it :-)
Describes as intermittent starting etc - issue with EIS I am thinking. While that is next to be tackled, the first priority is to get the windows closed. Every time you disconnect power to battery and then reconnect, open the door, the window drops 20 to 30 mm aprrox. It never goes up when the door is closed again though. Using the switch panel in the drives door provides no action
I have pulled the two door module fuses but no difference. The power seats all work.
NB the ignition key cannot be put into accessories or on position yet, let alone start.
In case it has some bearing on it, I have found fuse 21 which provided power to the EIS to be melted etc so I have bypassed that with a separate fuse, but had made no difference to either problem.
I had the check checked by a locksmith with his tester and he feels it is functioning OK. It provides no remote door unlocking or locking either.\
Can anyone provide some suggestions pls ?
Thanks
Ian
