Setting the clock time

Please help put me out of my misery. I've tried everything I know how, but I can't locate the time sub menu under settings. It's nowhere to be seen . Any ideas or suggestions, greatly appreciated 🤞Regards Nissrolet.

I do find the dash menu to be the most counterintuitive system ever. Are these screenshots any help?

Hi rich
Thanks for trying to help with these images. But I can't even locate time in any for on the menus I get dash but no time facility at all . It's as if it's not even there. I don't know how else to explain it . I'm starting to think somehow it's been wiped from the menu.

It's not just you.

I was having the same problem. Will check back in here and report my progress after they spring my car from customs.

Hi rich
Me again, can you get me up to the TIME menu. Once there I'll be ok , it's getting to that ,which is causing me all the grief. I have the original owners instructions manual, but it's been worthless,so far.

Dash clock unable to find the TIME sub menu

Thanks rich , I appreciate any assistance you can find. Seems ridiculous for such a prestige car to have such a poor instruction manual.
Hope all goes well with customs

I'm not sure of your options. My car has navigation and I adjust the clock from there, even though the operator's manual says otherwise.

Setting the clock

Thanks zmuff
Maybe there is something in that. I have the original navigation disc. I'll try inserting and see what happens. It all feels wrong somehow as though I'm missing something obvious. I'll report back .

I'm not smart enough to load a picture. On the Command unit L/H side press the SYS button and a menu will open. TIMESET will be in the top L/H corner. When you set the digital clock, the clock in your instrument cluster will adjust accordingly. Well, that's how it works in mine, hopefully yours too.

Thanks again for this zmuff I really do appreciate you trying to resolve this with me. I went out and immediately applied what you advised. The time was actually correct on the SYM but I went ahead and adjusted and confirm the settings. It hasn't been reflected on the dash clock . The dash clock runs approximately 30 minutes fast. It's very annoying. I'm wondering if I push the dash reset knob and see if going back to factory settings will do anything. Thanks again though helps to feel you're not fighting alone 🤣

I just had some success with the clock. I pulled the Fuse to the instrument panel. It's a 7.5 amp fuse, number 42 at the bottom right of the panel inside the dash on the driver's side of the dash.

I pulled it out, waited a moment, and put it back in. The clock ran backwards until 11:00 then moved forward to 12:00. Now I just need to go to the car at 11:55 and re-insert the fuse about 11:58.

Clocks went back an hour in the UK the other weekend so two things happened. On the Monday morning I'd totally forgotten, jumped in the car and then spent the rest of the day wondering where the day had gone. Then realised and spent half an hour sat in the car swearing while trying to adjust the time The clock hands sweeping backwards and forwards do make me laugh though.

My wife's Subaru just does it automatically and my old Saabs always stayed accurate. The SID (Saab Information Display) just synced with whichever FM RDS station the radio was tuned in to at the time.

Time sub-menu

You can't find the time sub-menu if your car originally had the Command Nav radio but has been replaced with an aftermarket radio.

Cars with Command Nav radios set the time through the radio touch screen. Without
the Nav system it is an option accessed by the steering wheel buttons.

All is not lost though. You can pull fuse 42(drivers side dash, bottom right 7.5 amp) OR... If you ever have to have the MB diagnostics (DSTARS) connected to your car, ask them, while they are in there, to change the settings from NAV = PRESENT to NAV= NOT PRESENT. Time will then appear as an option in the steering wheel menus

I JUST had this done today and the service manager didn't know it could be done until I explained it to him.

Good luck.
