Low idle and stalling
05 CLK320 ,76k miles and I am having an issue with the idle dropping from around 580 to maybe 550 occasionally and then the car wants to stall or hesitate when I apply gas. Enough that people behind me start honking. It tyhen picks up and drives normally.
Usually just happens at a light where I have been stopped for 10 or more seconds. If I put it in N, the revs change to 750 or so and then I can put it in D and drive off without an issue.
The last thing I did was change out a bad spark plug coil with a new Bosch one (The old one had somehow backed off the coil and got corrosion on it and wouldn't push back on)

Sounds like Crank shaft position sensor issue.
Obviously, I can’t be certain of this. But, without any other information, if it had happened to my car, the sensor would first on my list of items to check.

Took forever for Amazon to get me the sensors but they arrived last night. I had checked my records and found that I had the Crankshaft Position Sensor changed out a few years ago, so I was focusing on the Camshaft Position Sensor, which is right there at the front of the engine.
And let me just say, never has such an easy component change made such a big difference to a car. Not only is the hesitation gone (at least in the short test drive last night) but also gone is the sound of what I thought was misfiring somewhere in the 12 spark plugs. Beautifully smooth now.
Never got a code for this, however, which is odd.
