Hi, hoping that you can offer some guidance with a strange problem that I'm experiencing with my 2007 CLK280 3.0
I've had the car for 4 months and love it when its working but stuck with a crank but no start issue now
The story seemed to start with an engine light shortly after getting the car and my cheap ODBC reader reported a P0106 code which I believe is a MAP sensor problem, cleared the code but then the car would only crank but not start.
I found that by putting the car in neutral it would start (not sure if this was just coincidence) - this happened a few times over several days
Then on the last time that I was able to drive the car,I returned home after a drive with no problems and the car refused to start later in the day - just cranking over again
AA Breakdown man scanned the car but no codes and did a few tests and felt it was likely a CPS sensor as apparently they can play up when hot
I had a mobile mechanic come out who changed the CPS and the car started straight away
He then cleared the codes and now the car wont start again and no idea why

Could this be a fuel pump problem?

Any thoughts, ideas, advice would be really appreciated at this point as I have no idea what to try to get this started
