AC compressor jammed
1. I'm working on 2006 CLK350. Removed the frozen compressor. After that I removed the condenser and drier to make sure that there are no signs of contamination from the fallen compressor. They are clean and dry. Not a drop of residual oil. Neither there was any oil in the low pressure pipe connecting to the compressor. It looks like the condenser was replaced with the Nissens unit some 5 years ago. Do I suspect it correct, that my predecessor has replaced the condenser and didn't top off the compressor oil, what might have caused the failure due to lack of oil?
2. Now, do I flush the removed pipes, condenser and drier? How about the liquid high pressure line, expansion valve, evaporator? To I flush them too?
3. Where to find the correct amount of oil needed for the whole flushed system?
4. Also Denso lists ND oil 8 as a correct oil. Is it really the same as PAG 46? Is it ok to use one with dye?
