Heated Seats retrofit 2004 CLK320 W209 with Memory Seat

I am new to this forum and want to add heated seats to my 2004 CLK320 Convertible with memory seats. I would like to retain the OEM look and functionality.

From searching this forum, it looks like I will need the following supplies.
  • Dash control switch with part number A2038216879 (includes the switches for the heated seats). - Already purchased on Ebay
  • Left (Drivers Side) wiring harness A2094405206 for adding heated seat with memory seat option
  • Right (Passenger Side) wiring harness A2094405406 for adding heated seat with memory seat option
Is it possible to go aftermarket with the heating elements? I assume it is possible, but will I need anything to wire aftermarket elements to OEM wiring harness?

Any suggestions for sourcing parts for the wiring harnesses? Part numbers listed above are NLA.

Is there a better (easier OR more cost effective) way to do this and be able to use the OEM switches?

I will be replacing the leather on my drivers side seat bottom as it is showing it's age and hope to add the heated seat option at the same time.

I will be happy to document my progress and look forward to working with the community to complete this upgrade.

Still trying to determine what is needed. Now I believe my part numbers for the heated seat wiring harness were not correct. I believe I can use either of the following:
  • A2035407134 or A2035403005
They both appear in the same exploded views for the seat heating system components. Both are listed as fitting my Vehicle Year/Make and Model. I assume they serve the same function with one being an updated part number. I have submitted my vin and will see what the response is.

Not sure if this may be much help but the switch panel on the dash upper control panel, Has a loom specific to the heated seats. Its quite a thick one and plugs into the Upper control panel seperately. Unsure of where that loom leads to but you wil certainly need this

I believe the part numbers I listed are for the wiring loom.
  • A2035407134 or A2035403005
I am having a lot of trouble sourcing one as they are NLA in the states. If anyone has any ideas on how to source, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance...
