Xenon headlight issues
My 2005 clk320 A09 needs another headlight bulb big-xenon ds2; I had the shop replace the “module” in December and now the headlight is out again. What brand headlight bulbs have you had luck with?

Bulb or Ignitor or ballast.
It is not common that the bulb goes out that frequently. Typically, the ignitor is the most frequent failure on Xenon headlamps,
first inspect the ignitor. Then switch the lightbulbs from left to right, to make sure it is in fact the bulb.
i have changed the igniters on both sides and the entire headlamps on both sides
never saw a bulb go bad.

I have had CLK500 since 2012.
Has HID. Have gone through 4 bulbs. 1 ignitor and 1 ballast.
When bulbs fail they typically flicker at first, start over and over.
A pothole took out a ballast (driver side, hard to get to) and it was one and done. Just dead. I then caught fire to ignitor by leaving no bulb in. It worked as advertised, and ignited.
