CLK (W209) Upshift Issue after Paddle Installation
I have recently retrofitted an original W209 steering wheel with paddles. Today I did the EGS52 and EWM203 codings and the paddles seemed to work.
The only issue is: the car keeps upshifting. I lower the gear to 1 (no matter which mode) and it shifts back up to D (2,3,4 then D) all by itself without pressing the upshift button – after disabling the paddles in EGS52 it stops doing that.
I unplugged every cable from the steering wheel (excluding SRS) and it still upshifts eventhough the button is disconnected.
Is this an issue with the squib ring or the EWM? Or is it a coding issue (which I actually doubt, I just flipped the Bit Nr. 5 on Byte 29)
Thanks in advance!
