LONG POST / RANT WARNING!
Well I picked up my new '05 CLK 500 on Nov. 6th and all was well.
Last night I lowered both front and rear windows opened up the sunroof for a nice relaxing drive. I had just completely detailed the exterior and interior flawlessly and wanted to simply cruise around town.
No less than 1 minute into the drive I noticed a squeaking noise from either the F/R suspension. COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT DURING THE DRIVE! How odd! Steering is VERY tight and composed, like new. The noise is very apparent over moderate/sharp bumps.
1575 miles and my first unscheduled/repair/warranty visit has been scheduled for Monday Jan. 3rd. Might as well change the oil & filter as I always have on all my German cars, at this mileage. Hopefully they will not reset the Maintenance Interval, and simply change the oil and filter.
EVERY SINGLE GERMAN CAR THAT I HAVE OWNED HAD HAD SOME SORT OF FRONT SUSPENSION :v DEMONS :v ! Better than a crappy transmission or an engine that needs 2quarts of oil every 1500 miles.
Once again, THANKS for the rant
