V60 Phone Options?
- Just got an '04 CLK 320 with the built-in V60 phone.
- I currently have GSM cell service with AT&T (Cingular) and wanted to active the V60 with my present cell account (deactivative my current Siemens phone)
- HOWEVER, AT&T/Cingular has informed me they no longer start new service for CDMA phones.
- They said I'd have to go to another carrier (Sprint, Verizon, etc.)
Ok, I don't want more than one cellular account so it's gonna cost me $175 to terminate my service with AT&T and go elsewhere (I'm stuck in a 2 year agreement).
So what are my options? Do I:
a) Cancel my GSM phone with AT&T and activate the V60 with another carrier? OR
b) Is there readily available, easy way to utilize a different phone (a model AT&T/Cingular supports) in my CLK?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

No that is not true, the Mercedes phone got special program loaded into the phone to work with commend system and it is not going to work with any other reg V60.

Just wanna ask, why you still wanna to use the phone which in 5 years old. You can get whatever Bluetooth phone with Bluetooth car kit and that work much better.
Sorry to say that, but that phone really really suck.
