Rear strange noise
Dear all,
When the engine is turned on I've heard a continuous strange noise (like the electric current or a bad radio reception) which comes from the back wheel near the excaust.
Anybody knows or experienced something like this???
Thanks.

yes, i hear this noise all the time. I suspect that it is just a normal noise along with the 100 other noises i hear that are claimed to be normal....the best one is the rattling in the drivers side door its almost as loud as my radio!

I heard that noise just today and called the dealer, the service adviser told me that it's coming from the exhaust and there could be two issues: something holding the exhaust is loose, or some converter (I forgot what it was called) inside the exhaust came loose. But neither is a big issue as they claim, I am getting it fixed next week funny how a $60000 car can have so many little issues......
Does anyone have suggestions on a different car if I feel like changing to a new car??

[QUOTE= or some converter (I forgot what it was called) inside the exhaust came loose. A way to check if it's the converter or muffler is to bang it underneath with your hand and listen for noise/rattles.

I went to the garage this morning and the guy heard the sound. He told me that this is normal and he explained that this sound is caused from the transmission of petrol (the fuel pump i guess). So nothing to worry about.
