Lower w209 with spring kit or spring pads?

I have 750 miles on my 2005 CLK500. Everything is great so far except the wheel gaps, front and rear. IMHO the wheel gaps are huge...and I want to 'fix' asap. Have searched the threads and have seen a couple of reasonable options and want to know what the consensus is.....spring kit...or smaller spring pads.

I have 18" AMG staggered set up.

Thoughts?
