CLK320 Questions

I am considering getting a CLK 320A tomorrow actually, and was wondering about owner's comments/impressions.

I have one. Has 54,000 miles already. I downshift always, basically, the transmission is my brakes. It is working fine for me. I love the car.

2004 CLK320
I bought a 2004 CLK320 coupe on Dec, 2003.

After 30K KM, the car has absolutely no problem at all. In fact, I look forward to drive it everytime.

It's not so good on snow even with new snow tires but this is expected since I am comparing it with my previous FWD car, Honda Prelude.

Is downshifting an auto in order to negotiate a corner in style bad for the tranny?

tranny

I almost always drive my car in the "manual" mode. no issues, but the transmission did need to be "re-programmed" at 800 miles by MB.

Any recent news on when the 350 is due? I know the E350 will be out in March, but i don't think I've seen anything about when the CLK350 will be out

Yeah wait for the 350. 268hp vs my measly 215hp and better resale.

I am OK with 215 HP in my 2004 CLK320. If I needed more HP, I would have bought the CLK500.
