otherwise this could happen to you!
I guess it was bound to happen with all the potholes I've been hitting lately. And yes, it did hurt when I hit it!

damn that is worse as mines. even the tire is cut. its costing me $900 to buy a new barrel. it just totally ruined it. i only drive on the left side of the road now and i drive VERY VERY slow everywhere. LOL i have people honking, cutting me off, and highbeaming me, but hey, cant risk it.
sorry to hear man. gl with the repairs.

Yikes! But from the look of it, I guess you're driving too fast Tommy!
The wheels are off, so I will have an assessment for you either later tonight or tomorrow.

You definitely dont have to be going fast for that to happen. I have stock 17" AMG's and going about 20 MPH I hit a pothole. Luckily the rim is all good but the tire got a huge bubble, and I heard the loudes bang I ever head. If I had bigger rims and a lower profile tire I imagine my rim might have looked something like that.
Anyway, my friend has a 2000 S4 with some 18" wheels. One of his rims got bent, and theres a place around here in NY (i'll find out what its called) that charges a $129 flat rate to fix almost anything wrong with the rims. Saw the refinished rim today and it basically looks as good as new.
