Great PDF thanks! This confirms my thoughts that the 2006 CLK is NOT a major facelift but a very subtle revision from the front bumper down. The CLK 350 should be a big performance leap from the 320.

sl and M-class E320 4Matic SLK350
2005?
My guess is that is going to be the 2006 model CLK here in the US, rather than 2005. At least it is nice to see the CLK350 confirmed. Also interesting to see a diesel cabriolet is finally being offered by Mercedes - at least to markets outside the US. Now lets just hope the dollar - euro exchange rate does not dictate a price increase for these improvments.

CLK 200 KOMPRESSOR Elegance
Thanks for posting this, and ending months of speculation !
It all looks good and thankfully doesn't date the existing cars really !
Still I was hoping to order an Avantgarde but with light wood trim and it looks like I still cant. Wouldn't be bothered changing it afterwards. Still its made up my mind not to change this year, instead I'll wait 'till '06 !
From reading the small print a lot of these changes, especially to the engines dont happen 'till 10/05 so it probably WILL be a 2006 MY !

We took delivery of our car in Jan 05. Its a CLK500 Avantgarde Cab and they stopped the line to fit Burr Walnut trim and the boot spoiler. It cost NZ$ 4000 for these options.
Now a month later the car is no longer the current model!!!!

I know that I've *****ed about this before...
But I'm still pissed off, so here I go again... Does anyone else feel as if the W209 CLK's were "rushed" out, and that Mercedes Benz are just now "finalizing" what the car should have been in the first place? I feel like that 03 and 04 CLK's were something of a practice run for the "real deal", which are the 05 and in particular 06 model year...
When you compare the 05, and especially the 06 model years against the 03 and 04's, there have been a whole lot of improvements. Granted, I know that updates and improvements are expected, but the W209 was a brand new design, and it's been updated two times in three years! That's crap, imho. I didn't pay close to $80,000 to buy some sort of stop-gap model, and I feel like I was suckered. What really pisses me off are the big upgrades, namely:
The upgraded brakes, 6 piston calipers up front, 4 in the rear versus my 4/2 set-up...
The "Direct Control" suspension upgrades, the quicker steering rack, and 18" wheels...
The quad-exhaust...
Improved interior switchgear...
And now there's going to be a new airdam, new tail lights, an "improved" leather interior, and apparantely a whole string of other changes...
I'm sorry for always going on about this subject, but those are a whole lot of changes, especially the changes for 05, and the fact of the matter is that I can't afford to lose the $35,000 that it would cost me to get into one. When I bought my CLK in late spring of 2003 I did so feeling confident that I didn't have to worry about the car being changed in any signifigant way any time soon... I still love my car, but it sucks that I haven't even had it for two years and there's already been two major updates to it...
Not that I'm all that worried about it just yet, but there's one aspect to this that cannot be denied, and that is the fact that the resale for 03 and 04 CLK's, which is already appallingly weak, is going to go down even further. How much more would you be willing to pay for all of the above mentioned changes?
I guess the CLS and new SLK owners can expect major changes to their cars next year...
Rant over,
Matt
