I was following Azeteg's thread in the 208 forum and decided to see what a new MAF would do to my performance. At 47,000 miles there is a noticeable difference in low end, low speed umpf and off the line performance. Pretty much the same description he details in his thread. It also has much greater acceleration on the interstate at 65-80 mph...very good pulling power. I ordered mine online for $222 with free shipping and took about 15 minutes to replace. Well worth considering if you feel there is more to your car than it is giving you. I have only had my 55 for a short time, but is has not driven this well since getting it. I had also changed the fuel filter about 2.5 weeks ago...evidently that is recommended along with the new MAF.

I will have to check, as I did not save the email. I just googled "mercedes mass air" and checked several of the listings until I found a reasonable priced MAF or mass air meter as they call it.
coolcarlski you got those numbers from the dyno after you changed the MAF? Did you also change the fuel filter? I think you were the one suggesting to have the fuel filter changed the same time as the MAF...is that correct? Did you do any other service items also prior to dyno-ing the car? I also have the Evosport UD pulleys and am now curious what my rwhp might be.

Thank you!
Yes all of the above.I also put in all new Denso Iridium plugs.(200.00 for all) I don't have the pullies, but I'm debating whether I want to spend that kinda $$ on those things.I think I can do other HP mods for that type of dough.I'll keep you posted.
P.S.I also had a dyno fan at each air intake hose in front of the grill, while dynoing the car. This way I knew the car was getting some forced cool air into the intake to prevent heat soak..He didnt have the HUGE fan that they would have at alot of dyno's.I just recently, like 2weeks ago placed 2 new Green Airfilters in and the car feels even stronger.'Im gonna dyno the car again.
