W209 CLK55 AMG, 89' E300
Clk65 Amg?
currently we own a 2003 CLK55 AMG and are interested in whether or not the rumor about a CLK65 AMG is true and so to whether or not we should sell the CLK55 soon or not. any info would help. thanks

I have not read ANYTHING remotely associated with this happening and would guess that we would see a E63 before that engine makes it's way down to the CLK class... I don't think MB will ever let their stock version of the CLK outperform it's more well heeled siblings. Though that's all it is... a guess.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
I'd be amazed too...
sales of the 209 coupe are so dismal that I can't see it from a marketing standpoint. Perhaps they're going to see if the factlift makes things any better. But you gotta figger that most anything on the 209 is going to be back burner until they see if things get better with it.

As of midnight, 6/6/2005 the SL55 is the true man's beast:
~hardtop convertible
~all the hp & torque you will ever need
~only one seat for whichever honey you feel like that day
If only I could justify those payments

2005 C55 AMG (Capri Blue)
I would have gone for the SLK55 over the C55, but I wanted four seats and four doors (child seats and coupes are difficult to deal with). The C55 is (by Benz standards) a real bargain.
