Oliver's program is a bunch of BS.
Agreed. Did he give you your money back? You're right, Oliver is scamming people. But, do tell, what ECU tuner could take off the limiter?

JLee,

Again, no disrespect, but you aren't catching any W211 E55 @ 145mph unless something is seriously wrong with his car. That's the bottom line. I've done enough high speed runs to my vmax to know who can and cannot hang with the car at that level. A 350rwhp CLK would not be one of them, not even close.

So, the CLK55 was delimited? If that was the case and the E55 was still limited at 155, that could be a reason why you pulled away.

It happened before E55 or CLK55 hit the limit. so I don't think that's the case.

M, all I need to do is to run with a New M5 and see where I hang during the top speed run. When that happens, I will post the video.

Another point, "A 350rwhp CLK would not be one of them, not even close."
<= This statement bothers me a bit. My car isn't that slow. Stock E55 does what 12.5 under decent conditions. I can pull 13.0 sec on a rainy day with 19s with bald tires at the strip. it's just something that people just don't try to understand. W209 CLK55 is not that slow as you think. With stock E55 and my car can do neck to neck on drag or high speed run.

There are stock e55's running 12 flat. Do us all a favor and run the E55 again. This time with a video camera so you can shut all us doubters up.

Or if any E55 owners in the Boston area are willing to do a little get together to have a little race. I would race him in both my CLK55 (Slightly modded) and E55 (Bone Stock) if he was in my area. There really isn't any comparison between the two. One is FAST, and one is REAL FASSSST! You get he point.

TALK is CHEAP (let see some video on that rainy day)
I have yet to see CLK55 with street tires on dry road running 13.0...... let alone on the rain...you'd be lucky you run 13.6's ...

No matter how you put it if both driver are equall and really punching it ....

no NA CLK55 will ever touch E55K....period...

PS: No disrecpect intended, but then again I'd like to keep it realistic...as much as you want to believe your CLK55 is fast, but against the beast that is out of its league...(E55K) no way it could be faster.....

The weight difference between CLK55 (W209) and E55k (W211) is somewhere around 250lbs and the extra hp and torque E55K has it way more than enought to overcome that..

I am a firm believer when it comes to street racer FASTER car doesn't always determine WINNING. Since the driver is a huge factor (even bigger factor in Manual cars).... Jlee81 you have your outcome because you're better driver than the other driver just accept that...
(try to put monkey on that E55K and I could spank it all day with just a C32 )

JLee, if you as familiar with this kind of stuff as I am, you'd know that 1/4 ET really doesn't mean anything when doing highway rollons. 1/4 ETs are more of an indicator of traction that power. My E55 ran a 12.2 bone stock on ****ty tires as well.

I'm not saying your car is slow, but it is not in the same league as a stock W211 E55, especially on the highway. That's the bottom line, I'm sorry if the reality of that statement bothers you.

Sorry, but I'm calling on this. No way you could get a sufficient 60' time, on bald tires, in the rain, to get a 13.0. Absolutely, flat-out, frickin' impossible.

Maybe he meant to say that, on a rainy day, his bald **** call pull 19s with 13 inch wheels.

Ok. Why don't you check out May 4th, 2005 weather in Epping, NH?
that was the second opening day for NewEngland Dragway, and I was there running as 567. The track was wet because it was rained and drizzled while I was there. when I got there, they even announced that they would cancel the schedule if it rains any harder.

When I moved out of the states, i lost some of my run records.
But fortunately, I was able to find the 2nd best run among all during that day.

Here is the recond:
R/T: .796
60: 2.206
330: 5.746
1/8: 8.646
MPH: 84.74
1000: 11.138
1/4: 13.216
MPH: 107.84
and I will scan this sheet when I go to a PC cafe.

All the cars were having problems with launching. And many many people who goes there regularly saw my car doing the runs. So please, Don't even think that it's a BS. If you can't buy it, then just don't. Whatever, I don't need to get into this.

Even ***IF*** you do post a slip as promised....

....there's no proof that it was YOUR car that ran it. A timeslip is just that: a slip with a time on it. For a 13.0 in the rain in a lightly modded CLK55 on bald tires, we'll need to see more than some anonymous timeslip, dude....

...and hey, here's a thought: why don't you ALSO get your pulling a W211 E55 on video???

In looking through your posts, I see LOTS of claims, accompanied by your insulting and attacking anyone who actually questions them, but very LITTLE to back them up. And the tales keep getting taller...sorry, but I'm still calling until and unless I see a VIDEO.

And no ****ty tricks like you played last time I asked for a video and you tried to trick me into downloading a script file...where's the beef?

I don't know of any track that will let people run down it if it's wet???? Also, is that the only time you've ran your can, in the rain??? I think it was an E320 that someone badged as a E55 that you beat. Your claims just don't add up. You lost all credibility when you said you ran at a track in the rain. IHRA or NHRA (insurance regulations) tracks will never let that happen. The track might not have been the best but, it wasn't soaked. No way!

Wow, everybody calm down. If he did or didnt pull the E55 it doesnt make a damn difference in anyone elses life now does it. I believe he pulled on an E55 but the E55 was not functioning properly. He never said "come race me in your E55 and I'll put you to shame" or anything like that. He just wanted to share an event that occured. Thanks for sharing J Lee

It was all butta (for me, at least) until the "my car can run 0-60 in 4.5 seconds with bald tires on a frozen lake" (or something of the sort) comment.

JLee,

Your trap speed says it all. My old E55 (W210) trapped maybe 1mph slower than your car. It's engine is very comprable to the one in your CLK, so not only do I know exactly what I can do to a 107mph trapping car on the highway (rape it) I've had an N/A AMG car that had similar power. I'm going to say it for the last time: your car is not in the same league as a W211 E55 from any speed to any speed, and especially in the higher mph range.

If you beat an E55, there was something wrong with it. Your car is not faster than the W211 E55, period.

is this episode of...

"don't you dare post any claims, statements of fact, observations or accounts of events unless and until you have irrefutable evidence to back you up which is available, upon request, in original unedited format, to any member of this forum for that member's use and review until such time as the said reviewing member determines, to his or her satisfaction, that said evidence is genuine and supports, confirms, proves and/or tends to support, confirm or prove the claim or claims which you desire to post"

also known as...

"don't leave home in your benz without a video camera and at least one independent corroborating witness who has been pre-approved as such by qualified members of this forum, just in case you happen to have one of those once in a lifetime experiences where you succeed at something (for whatever reason), or something out of the ordinary or unexpected happens, or you race a car that maybe you shouldn't be able to beat but as it turns out you do (you know... like the other driver's skills are lacking or he/she lets off and you're on top of your game, the other car isn't functioning to its full potential and your car is perfectly tuned and pullin' hard or the other car is speed limited and yours isn't) or you have your best day ever at the track (you know... like it was drizzling when you showed up but by the time your turn comes up the traction portion of your lane is dry and your bald tires act like racing slicks and achieve great grip which combined with your Kleemann LSD maximizes the effect of that launch you had where you reacted perfectly and everything else happened just right) and you're happy about it and you want to share your experience"

over yet????

because if it's so cool that someone can figure out a way to call it "unbelievable" (that is, if it's too cool) then it seems like someone will inevitably summon the Taliban who will arrive in full force and pronounce you a liar until you prove otherwise.

I hope you keep sharing your future experiences JLee.
