AMG And M5 Pictures
Gents,
As I promised, below are some recent shapshoots of My BEAST (CLK55) and my brothers M5 (Another BEAST) - As I mentioned in previously threads, I drive both of these beauties almost daily (my brother and I switch daily to race and to review the different driving dynamics of the two cars.
I jotted down some of my thoughts and wanted to share them with you all.
AMG -
PROS :
Outstanding liner performance, off the line snapshots are a blast - hard turn and braking, cornering is the best I've experienced in a coupe - (Other than my 996 - but that's in a different class all together) All the amenities one driver could as for. The AMG has the ability to drive smooth and if you turn the other cheek she can really scare the hell our of you, at the same time place a smile on your face from ear to ear
CONS:
Traction control is for too touchy
Steering would be better if only a little tighter
Command system would be better if mounted higher (Symantec's)
Minor electrical bugs - ABS, lights come on often, Gas with check engine light pain in the ***
M5
PROS:
Outstanding liner preference (which I believe is truly equal to the AMG - many roll-ons and take offs from the line has proven my theory correct :-) ) awesome steering - equal to a Porsche - Possibly the best handling sedan EVER - no body lean, cornering and salmon ability is truly awesome (sometimes I hate to say that, especially in front of my brother) braking equal to AMG stopping distance (just a different bite feel) Better NAV location and in 16:9 mode widescreen (very nice)
CONS:
Not As Luxury as the AMG nor or the seats as comfortable
Performance Is Equal to CLK55, I expected more
Traction Control is very touchy
Stereo is weak
BMW service and sales are pretty sad especially when your buying a 75K auto
All and all I think there the best sedan and coupe out there today :-)
