$1,500 Install on Shocks/Springs... WTF?

I ordered a set of Koni shocks and H&R springs for my '01 CLK55 and called Autoscope of Dallas, TX for an installation quote and they said $1,500 for labor! WTF? Is this right?

Anyone know of a shop in the Dallas-FortWorth area that can do this at a reasonable rate? Thanks!

That's true... because the "stealership" just quoted me $600 + $100 alignment.

Has anyone done this for less? Help please!

I paid $750 for 4 Koni's and H&R springs. I paid my mechanic $250 for labor, it only took him about 2.5hours. I would wait on the alighnment for about one month after you drop it. My car dropped about 1/2" more a month after install.
Good luck

I do all 4 corners in my own garage in 3 hours.!!!

VERY VERY easy job.

I wouldn't pay more than 200 dollars for these kind of install.

REMEMBER, it is just a regular car with 4 wheels ...nothing special about the suspension on these cars...

any ASE certified shop can do it with ease.

Wish you were in Dallas! The least expensive quote I got so far is $400 without alignment. I'm still looking.
