06' CLK 55 pricing
Has anyone heard of getting any cash off MSRP because the 63 is coming? I have a friend that just test drove a 55. Price was 86K and all it had was the lighting package from the description on the web. Can anyone give me some advice?

It is all about bargaining and buying from a dealer that is wanting to get rid of them. You should easly get $12k of the asked price if not more. Just willing to walk away while bargaining.

Pretty sure I saw a new one on eBay from Dick Dyer MB in SC. Price was around 70k. They also sell new SL500s on ebay for 83k. Most of their cars have buy it now 10-15k under msrp.

I tried to talk a dealer to go to mid 70's on one. He said MB marks these things up 7%. So no go. I think my friend's best bet is to just wait for the 63 and pay about the same price (maybe a little more) and get more power and a new look.

I find younger sales agents more eager to work with me. You might want to leave your contact information to one of them, you might get a call in couple weeks. As longer the car stays in dealers lot more money they are paying/loosing for it.
