2002 CLK55 Cabriolet (DEAD: 1989 300E, 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible)
He's missing the same piece I am. I had a Close Encounter Of The 3rd Kind with one of those concrete blocks at the end of a parking space, and as I pulled back out of the space, it caught on that now-missing bar and yanked it right out. I tried to put it back on myself but wasn't successful, and it ended up falling off on the freeway ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I think it costs about $120 for the part - and then you have to have it painted to match the front bumper, because the "raw" part is unpainted. Still haven't gotten around to replacing mine yet ...

I know this is meant to be for pictures of our cars, and sadly although I own neither of these, you don't see many of these about much so I thought members might be interested.
The CLK DTM coupe was made in an edition of 100 cars both left and right hand drive (the convertible the same quantity), 582bhp, 1-100km/h in 3.9 seconds and top speed limited at 320km/h.
I took this picture at Hockenheim in October 2005 when I participated in the Ultimate AMG Experience organised by Daimler Chrysler.

That DTM convertible looks like hell... Who'd ever want it... A convertible DTM car, wheres the sense...
Oh never mind, the reigns of profit maximization I guess

I agree with you, but I respected the DTM the most because of its "racing heritage" that it shared with the real dtm stuff...
The convertible misses almost all of that... It's a fourseater and it has no roll cage... It just looks like a "pimp my ride" CLK with some widebodykit.
Imho its as weird as a car as ferraris F50...
By the way, does someone know what kind of roof the convertible has? is it a hard/soft top? never seen it closed ...
Furthermore, i'm trying not te be offensive

I really should ask all those people who actually ran with my CLK55 on the Speedway to write about the results. All I need to know is that people here know what happened. Whatever it is over, anyways.
I already posted two pictures in CLS55 section. I will take more photos later.
Take care and keep in touch.

Wow,
IWC CLS55, that must be quite a ride!
I think I saw one in Boston just a week or so ago. I thought it was yours but I guess yours is all the way across the globe
Anyway,
Some pictures of my recently acquired CLK55 (208)

![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/holson/CLK55/F8_3.jpg)
No idea what to add to it, I'm thinking of just driving it as is for a year or so and then trade up to a '63' of some sort then (having saved up
)
