hello everyone

I'm having trouble getting these wheels to fit a 2003 clk55.

the wheels are 19 x 8.5 in the front via 38 offset and 19 x 9.5 in the rear via 38 offset.

the wheels by itself will not clear the big brake kit.

will 10 mm H & R spacers work and solve my problem ?

supposedly the owner of the car is saying the wheels will not fit even with 10mm, 12mm, and 15mm spacers.
I cannot understand why it is not fitting.

is there anything else I should look for when trying to get it to fit ? I see other clk55 owners using 19 x 10 via 35 offset and 13mm spacers with no problem.

can anyone with expierence care to chime in?

What car did the wheels come off originally? Also, worst case scenario if you're keen on keeping the wheels is shave part of the caliper.
