2002 CLK55 AMG Paint Codes Question
From the label on the driver door jam, it looks like my paint code is 040 (black). I am being told be a body shop here that the car was not available in paint code 040. Can anyone confirm the 040 paint code is correct?

040 is the standard Black. Has been for years. Body shop doesnt know squat

yes 040 is std black. I have seen K040 on 02 CLKs, not sure what the K is... thought it was similar to the new C040 nano paint.
