When should I change my trany fluid & filter?

Hey Guys,

I have 35,000 mls on my 02 CLK55. I would normally change my trany fluid and filter around now. The dealer ship said not due till 120,000 miles - WHAT!!!!???

What fluid and filter do you recommend?

Thanks Owen

I just bought my tranny fluid, filter and gasket sealant from the dealership's parts dept.
I did mine around 60k... some people recommend every 30k. or at least once a year.

When you have it done..( soon , I would ) get it "flushed" not just serviced. The difference is when its "flushed" old fluid is extracted from the tranny. When its "serviced" there is residual dirty fluid sitting in the torque converter.
