Stock Sub in 05 Vert??????
Has anyone cracked open the stock sub between the seats and replaced it with something better????
I was at audio store today and they are talking abotu doing that - but I need to know if anyone has had any sucess doing this or what size is the stock sub?

I was told that the sub is a piston that moves air and give a bass like feel.
I have a convertible and am also interested with replacing sub. Sound Advice suggested that I put a sub (10") at the floor panel of the passenger side. The issue I have is (A) I will loose about 5 inches of foot space for passenger confort. (B) Used to having sub(s) in the back of car.

Hmmm - that is news to me - but it would not surprise me either. I would have even considered putting one in the trunk but it is not going to sound all that great with the top down - I would like to see what the HK box looks like once it is opened. I guess you could also have a small custom box built for between the seats in the rear - not like I ever put anyone back there.

I thought that on the 209 clk55 the sub-woofer was the large speaker in the rear parcel shelf. Is there another subwoofer in-between the front seats somewhere inside the armrest unit because the parts diagram would seem to indicate that there is.
