MBUSA STAR bulletin for E63 engine…
DTB P-B-05.20/20 JAN07 Sporadically occurring noise on engine start in area of the chain drive; Models 209.477, 211.077, and 219.377 – M156 engine (E63 AMG) up to serial # 60 001177.
When starting with a warm engine, this may be due to the intake camshaft adjusters. To remedy both intake camshafts and intake camshaft adjusters will be replaced.
