I have a couple of issues....any help would be appreciated

Hey guys. I have an issue with my passenger's side front seat. All the seat controls on the door work except the forward and backward one. A while back, it was an intermittent problem. Now, the seat is stuck in it's position. I did check all the fuses and they seem to be all fine. I'm just hoping it's not the motor.

The second issue I started to get last week is that when I start my car, I can hear a whining sound coming out of the rear passenger's side of the car. The sound is exactly the same one as the car makes when you hit the lock/unlock button, and you hear the trunk lock/unlock....kind of a vaccum sound. Anyways, that sound keeps on playing for about 5 minutes .... then it goes away.

If anybody has any ideas on how to take care of these issues (no more warranty on the car), please feel free to help out =)

thanks,
AL

Ohhhh I could be wrong or I could be right about your second issue... this what happen to me like last year I had a C280. I had the same whining sound you mention around back seat of the passenger side. At that time I ignored it which was very foolish of me and I let it go for past 3 months then one day on my way to work that morning, the car was dead, won't start. Yes its the battery. I checked to see the headlights were left on, but I didnt. Well I replaced it that same day and drove it around block just making sure everything was fine and I notice it doesn't do that whining noise again. My question to you is how long have you had your car? I had mine for 6yrs so all I am saying is could be the battery is running low or could possibly be something else. That's what happen to me and then the noise was gone after replacing the battery. Like I said this may sound strange but the noise did dissappear.
