Hey, I just purchased a new '07 CLK and I also got included the "keyless go" option that allows me to not have to use the remote but only have the key near/with me.
However, I've noticed lately that I can't LOCK or UNLOCK the doors with my remote unless I'm near the IR detector on the driver's door. I took the vehicle to Mercedes to check it out and they did some troubleshooting and found it to be OK. I just received the car back today and GUESS WHAT..it's not working!
Again, if I stand near the IR sensor on the drivers door it works, but if I am at the passenger door I can't unlock with the remote. Any ideas? Help!
P.S. I do use the Keyless go option it rocks, however the fact that the remote won't unlock/lock the doors bewilders me?

You dont need to use the remote.
With Keyless Go all I do is walk up and open any door or the trunk with the key in my pocket.
To lock it you just push the pad on the door handle.
The only time I ever use the remote is to put the top down and then you just need to be fairly close and point it at the sensor on the door handle.
