Hopefully, there have only been a few fellow W208/209 CLK55 owners who have had their transmissions replaced. I just had mine replaced and the dealer claims that my new transmission is an upgraded version of the old unit?
Has anyone heard of two types of transmissions for the W209 CLK55? My car is a 2003 MY W209 and the transmission the dealer just installed has the part number: 209-270-01-00-87. I looked all over for info on this subject and have come up with nothing.
Any input will be helpful. Hopefully, this will be a good reference for other CLK55 owners in the future.
