Build the same exhaust setup I have or PTE has and you'll save a TON of $$$$$$$$$. The Eisenmann mufflers do sound nice but that will only be a lil piece of the equation. Change the secondary cats to high flow 3"SS metal cats made by Metal Cats with a 2.5 to 3" SS Y pipe(Magnaflow or Burns Steel) in front. Then add a 3" SS resonator made by Vibrant 75.00 to 90.00 depending on where you buy it. Then you can connect it to an Eisenman exh and with all of this you will have spent fractions less save some major weight and have added some nice HP.Originally Posted by Mtthias MB

Project, that soundsl like good stuff but to far afield for me. I am looking for just slight enhancements, not a throw down hot rod. Your machine sounds awesome.
AMGeez. I can't make head nor tails of that group buy post. But it looks like we are paying the same as any yahoo who goes to the site?
I tried to register over there but never received the confirmation from the administrators, and it won't let me re-register because the email is in use. Its not easy being me!

The price of the exhaust is $859.00 shipped. You can't get that price without the group buy. Just email Ilia@ind-distribution.com. He will give you all the info you need. I'm the one who started the group buy on the other forum.
Okay. Thanks for your effort. One more question. How come they call the exhaust 320 or 430 and never mention AMG?

Because a 320 or a 430 isn't an AMG. On a side note the exhaust for the 430 is $859.00 shipped. The exhaust for the 55 is a little more. You need to contact ILIA about the price for the 55. But just so that you do know a 430 exhaust will work just fine.Originally Posted by Mtthias MB

Emailed him Tuesday night. No answer yet. When do we plan to pull the trigger?

Here's what the real AMG exhaust looks like.

and it is also gonna make your car pretty loud. it is still cheaper than Carlsson though. Maybe if you're lucky you can find a stock C43or CLK55 muffler to put on your car.Junior Member

Sorry I hope asking a clarifying question is not considered hijacking the thread. I have included pics of what my exhaust looks like and the connection of the exhaust pipe around/through the rear lower suspension as shown in mbenzman's pic is slightly different (seems to go through it)while mine seems to go below..Assuming these are both 208 pics I'd like to know why this is so. Appreciate the insight.. Hope it isn't something my dealer tech did incorrectly as they did do some work and replaced one of the exhaust pipes as I ran over an animal and it had to be replaced (not the muffler though). Appreciate the insight from our experienced forum members. Thanks.Originally Posted by mbenzman

Hmm that is interesting. My setup is exactly like yours. i need to ask Rich why his is different. i'll say Rich modded his like that perhaps because his car sits low, i'd assume. Does not want to scrape the stainless steel bend.Originally Posted by Zal

The simple answer to this question is that your car is a coupe and mine is a Cab. The exhaust goes above the extra body braces that are found only on the Cab. I haven't relocated or added anything you could tell from that pic.
Rich.
