2005 CLK55 Coupe value over time?

i made some research and came to conclusion that 2005 model year CLK55 was the last year MB imported coupe amgs to the US. and 2005 was the first year with the new updated interior and quad exhaust pipes. I believe these make it a rare CLK within other clks. do you think this be any benefit for future?

for example 2000 C43s are very rare in the US and they have the touchshift tranny 99 and older dont. one extra option makes it very special and they find buyers for twice money what 99 and 98s are worth.

C55 AMG
As soon as the E and CLK body style changes later this year....it will plummet like all the others in the current body style ...quad exhaust (which looks great) or not

Naw, just like any other CLK55. Nobody can read the future. Don't expect this to be any type of classic.

Now the 2003 cabrio 55 "might" have a chance since there were VERY few of those imported (older W208 body style).

as soon as body style changes, prices will depreciate.

I have to agree - MB prices in general are going through the floor since their product quality is so bad, and the more expensive the car (thus the repairs) the bigger the depreciation. It seems like the AMG upgrade is the ultimate soft option - instead of blowing $800 of rust proofing that doesn't add anything to resale, you can spend $40K extra for the AMG label and after 4 years the car's worth no more than the next model down. I'm just really down on Mercedes right now - they'd have to be at the top of product quality lists for maybe a decade before I'd consider owning another one.

i actually remember 2006 coupes... but I could be wrong

another thing you want to note is that some 2005's came with 2 piece front rotors while some did not.

also, these 2005 (or 2006?) CLK55 Coupes COULD retain their value pretty well because they could be the last W209 Style AMG coupes with dual exhaust. Since the CLK63 Coupe was not imported into the US.

edit: I havent checked recently, but I remember before the introduction of the CLK63, CLK55 Coupes with the dual exhaust (2005/2006?) were very hard to find on ebay.

2003 CLK55
Sure it has 18 inch rims and dual exhaust....thats awesome. but I doubt that will carry the value over other CLK55's

Of course I wish I had 18 inch rims and dual exhuast!
