Srs Problem Wtf
SRS PROBLEM
My car is a CLK 55 AMG w209.
Hi guys,
Today I woke up to find when I switched on my car A SRS signal came up on my dashboard, I was naturally worried and took it down to my Mercedes specialist who put it onto the computer for me and ran the “diagnosis assistance system programme”
It came up with the AB-Airbag Sign
Code
B106D : the component or the signal line to the component b48 (front passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition has
and also
B106C: fault in communication with component B48 (front passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition) or there is a cable fault.
Basically at first they thought it was a wire problem as one of their mechanics said a wire was put wrongly, so they fixed that after 1 hour. (that was strange) however the SRS problem light still came on. They then called down a guy who has more knowledge and he says that the seat sensor must be faulty, and they need a new one which requires taking out the seat and stripping it down and then getting to the sensor and replacing it.
The only problem is that the seat sensor cost 265 pounds plus 2 hours of labour at 60 pounds per hour:
The part number is P/N 2098209510.
Does anyone have this one as spare? or can anyone recommend anything?

It's a long shot, but I'd try wiggling all of the connections that you can reach. The wife's Audi TT showed a SRS light once and all the dealer did was wiggle the wires to clear it.
