not stock.
Im amazed to see you guys are chopping & cutting up the exhausts instead of taking it to a reputable muffle shop and have them do a "new" section of the exhaust you want to modify in mandrel-bent piping...etc. nice & smooth...thats what we all do here in miami ..take it to miami mufflers.

It was WAYYYYYY too loud to even attempt to drive lol. That video doesnt really capture the "loudness" of it. I just put everything back on. I am considering taking it back off and going to the local ricer meet to scare a few people. But the cops would have a field day with me. May be worth it though. If I do, I will have a passenger film the terror!!!

Cool

Not sure of the diameter of the pipe... Here are some threads that I was in on the same subject:

Hope this helps. I took my resonator out of my 01 CLK55 and I like it. It's subtle, but roars a little for me at WOT.

Ok FINE... The exhaust expert will chime in.

the magnaflow Y is spaced WAY too far apart. What you need is the FLOWMASTER Y-pipe, it is a very high flow Y-pipe with the proper merge angle and spacing to make everything fit. They also have it in the size you need:

The Flow Master is what you want. Trust me I KNOW AMG exhausts.

OK Mr. exh expert,I kindly beg to differ with you, that y-pipe will rust like hell. My Stainless Steel magnaflow worked out perfect on my car even though the flowmaster will flow only marginally better. My guy had no problems matching up my Stainless steel cats to it. My car runs like a beast and my car is night and day compared to when it had the stck exh which you reccommend in addition to the X=-pipe. You have to go 3" or bust with these cars.

I agree with E55, I've run the flow master many times, its great. Magnaflow's inlets are WAY too far apart, its not really a performance Y-pipe its just a truck Y-pipe.

Go with flow master (the one product they make better than Mag is this Y-pipe).
