When I was cleaning my car the other day I notices some scuff marks on the wood on center console. Any ideas on how to keep it nice, with out allot of work?

Talking Black Birds Eye Maple Scuffs easy?

Never put anything on the center console that could damage it. If you trow keys or put a cell phone on it, you can damage the treated wood. Also I never let anybody wearing shoes with leather soles get in my car, because they scrath the door sills, just rubber soles. You got to be very picky!

Not much touches the car. As for throwing my keys, never.
I do open the cup holder and put my cell phone in the deep side. I can't think of what might be scratching it? I'm going to keep a close eye on what falls/ends up there. I could alway blame it on the wife.

Its just another painted surface, so I tried a swirl remover for the light scratches and then put a coat of a polish/wax. The sealer doesn't seem to be very scratch resistant, so use a gentle action when buffing.

Timster, do you let your wife drive your car? Mine drives a 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited (big and safe for her) and boy, do I have to clean that truck on the weekends. I also put my cell phone in the deep deep side of the cup holder. Like Ima55r2 says, try to buff it carefully.

Thanks for the advice.
As for my wife driving the AMG? Yeap, gotta let her do that, she's still mad that I sold both the C5's to by a 996TT. And haven't replace her car yet. (As for the 996TT it's gone).
The wife usually drives the Denali. But she'd rather drive a SL55, some day maybe?
