Question-Rear AMG Calipers
My 04 has silver AMG calipers on the fronts and standard calipers on the rear. Can you put newer AMG calipers on the rears to match the fronts? I think it would look a lot better!

You certainly can! I did this with my 2003 car.
rear brakes
pads rear 004-420-49-20
rotors rear 171-423-02-12
left caliper rear 003-420-29-83
right caliper rear 003-420-30-83

Thanks. The tyres are 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear on 8.5 and 9.5 rims with 3mm (front) and 10mm (rear) H&R hub centric spaces with the rear arches rolled.
My main problem is with tyre wear: The tyres in the picture are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics but while the fronts are like new the rears have only lasted 4000 miles! I have got 6000 miles from Dunlop SP9000s and am just putting on Falken FK-452s to see if they are any better.
Of course I recognise that the car is hard on tyres as I have fitted Quaiffe Limited Slip Differential and changed the set up to be more balanced toward oversteer rather than understeer but 4000 miles!
I used to run the car on 19s which looked good but the ride was just too hard.

More Rear Caliper Questions
I'm going to purchase these parts but would like to know if:
1) Did you notice any braking improvment,
2) Do these parts bolt up directly to the axel (e.g., calipers and rotors?),
3) Did you have to modify the hub or spindle,
4) Any problem with standard AMG 17" rims (e.g. offset), and
5) I see from your pictures the rotors are cross drilled, can I expect the same?
Thanks in advance for all your help!
