2004 CLK 55
hello

I just signed up on this forum and can't wait to learn!

Just purchased a very clean 2004 silver CLK55.

It's in my garage back at home right now due to the bad weather. I'll be shipping it down to florida when school starts in september.

Hope this is in the right section.

Thanks.

Sweet! Welcome to mbworld.org. I too, just bought my 2004 Brilliant Silver CLK 55 AMG about a month ago so I know how you feel! If you have any questions feel free to ask. We have quite a few AMG owners always willing to help including myself. Again, welcome and have fun!

thanks a lot!

I'm not looking into putting a bunch of mods into the car because i like it just how it is, but is there something i can purchase that will give it a bit more power.
I was looking at the ecu power chip for about $990 and wasn't sure if that would be a good add on.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks much!

I'm still researching for more power as well...there's a lot of info on these forums and since I'm in the same boat as you, let's wait for some of the mbworld vets to chime in However, I'm waiting to get my car back later this evening. I'm having the new Kenwood DNX 8120 Navi system put in w/ steering control, back-up camera and a new JL AMP! I will be sharing pics etc maybe tomorrow.

Congrats, that's a sweet car. It's a great vehicle right out the box and all I'd do to one is slap on some AMG 18"s, a light tint and clear front reflectors. If you have a warranty, think carefully before chipping it. One tip is check the air filter is clean as many people forget to do that when buying used.

Thanks a lot everyone.

Ya, I have a 100,000 mile warranty so I'm not too interested in voiding that.
The car was a gift from my parents because i was accepted into several aviation programs; I'm only 22 and I'll be taking great care of my car like i have the rest!
I'll be looking into the clear front reflectors. Thanks again and i'll continue researching.
