looking for diy lowering guide

hi was wondering if anyone has any links to a diy guide for installing lowering springs only (H&R), for the w209 clk55. ive searched google and not much comes up in terms of guides. i have the macpherson spring compressor, but as it is my first time i am looking for a detailed guide.

thanks in advance for any help.

It's pretty straight forward, if you have done other cars... it is pretty much same.. I did with basic suspension work tools..

but you can find good guide on

MyMBONLINE.com

in DIY section

good luck...

thanks, i ended up finding the vid of the c55 getting coil overs. i followed that guide, took everything off and got stuck on trying to release the top hat cause i didnt have the removal tool. tried to remove it with a flat head and hammer but it wouldnt budge so i had to stop before i severely damage the nut. i ended up putting everything all back together and now after several hours of messing around im back at square one lol. i'll try again when i find the tool.

oh that sucks,,

but I did without any special tool : (

what you need to do is get a hex tool and hold it while you are turning the net with vise grip.

good luck..

spring compressor with an alan or torx will work also, u have to crank it opposite for the little ring to move. right is off and left is on.
