CLK63 Dual Exhaust

Was looking into picking up a CLK63 cabriolet. Why doesn't it have a dual exhaust like the E63? Anyone do a conversion here?

There is a bracket(support) coming off the the right rear frame rail(all convertibles) where the muffler would be located. That said, there is a ongoing project converting a 63 Cabrio to a Black Series look (using BS body panels).
Have been told this car will have a true dual exhaust. Car should be finished late Sept.(ran into many parts delays). Another way is to run a second pipe from the muffler over to the right side(have been quoted $1000). You can do search on that info & pictures. Hope this helps.

So I presume your doing this to your own vehicle. I would rather go with the Black Series rear bumper and possibly with an aftermarket exhaust at the same time. Any recommendations? Also if you don't mind can you PM your source for all the parts. Thanks!

I guess because its a convertible MB didn't give it the quad exhaust treatment. The coupe has it, but no more coupe in the USA.

What years/models had the dual exhaust (with quad tailpipes)?

I dont know about the convertible having a support bracket, but you need to change the spare tire well to the one off the black series. Its a $400-500 part from a mercedes dealer.
