Leather grade in the CLK55??
Im considering buying a CLK55 vs a BMW M3. What grade/type of leather is on the seats of the CLK? I test drove an S55 with nappa? leather, and they are very nice, but the salesman said the CLK55 has nubuck(sp?) leather. The BMW M3 has very nice leather seats. Also, how easy is it for one to get in and out of the back seats of the CLK? Does the frontseat move electrically or manually to allow someone to get into the back seat? DVD nav??
Thanks....

The access to the rear seats is electric. Lift and Pull the leaver on either seat and the seat moves all the way forward. Left and pull the lever and the seat returns to what ever position it was in prior to moving it. It easy to get in and out of if you’re a normal to small size person. Larger people will (Like any car) have a to squeeze in.
The Navigation system is a CD based system. It works!
There are only a few options on the 55 a CD Changer, Command system and Telephone.
Everything else is standard.
The CLK55 is a larger car than the M3 but the M3 will run circles around a 55.
I had my choice when I bought mine. I chose the 55 because it had more rear legroom. And at the time the dealer would deal.
If I had to do it again I would go with the M5. (But only if the dealer would deal and start at MSRP and not $10K over)
Don't get me wrong I like the 55 AMG. But the M5 is more of a true performer.

[B]The CLK55 has Nappa Leather. It's part of the AMG package.
The w208 had nappa leather/seating surfaces while the new w209 clk55 has the nubuck;leather on the sides and a suede like leather(nubuck) on the seating surfaces.
