05 ML-500 , 03 CLK5.5 AMG has left the Garage
Designo Package MY NECK !!
You know MBENZMAN. I never noticed the Designo package on your car last fall. What I did notice !! was I could not see straight after the demo ride 
I had to stop at the local HOOTERS and pop my fore head on the bar top , to get my eye ***** to set correctly back in their sockets.Regards !! ___PTEngineering

I guess next time I'll buy you some beer goggles at Hooters to make up for the vision issue my Frankenbeast may have caused. Hell of a "Cab" ride though!

Yes, I have wood in the door panels and console ... a swirly design, fairly muted in color ... I just assumed that was standard on all W208 55's?

Yes, leather dashboards were offered as part of the designo program. SFAIK they only showed up on cabriolet models in the USA. To see it on a certain dark green coupe, one getting dolled up with even more equipment, check out MBenzNL's gallery:

I wish i could find all the ugly designo interiors I have seen while looking for cars here-
You wouldn't believe what some people do in Europe.
I'm talking full green interiors. With matching green wood grain. All green !
Or I also saw an interior that was like a turquoise colour.... and just the other day I saw one with a disgusting granite instead of wood. (actually that was at the dealer)
I think the granite alone was a 5000 buck option. It was also a kind of blue grey green colour.
In the end however it is personal taste.... doesn't mean you can sell the car again after. hehe

Hey everyone.
I just purchased a Designo edition 2002 CLK 55 Cab. The color combination is absolutely awesome! Its Plack Oplal exterior and Charcoal Gray interior is a great match. I don't have any pictures of it yet, but it does look good. So not every designo addition combination looks bad.
One other thing, I noticed on some Designo cabs AMG wheels came with rivets on them, mine didn't. Did they have two options on wheels in 02?

Yes and no. Custom colors can be done at places like the AMG Performance Studio. They are one-off projects. Designo colors are pre-selected. The choice of listed desgino colors was sometimes rather large, but still a choice.
