Otherwise, you can retain the stock feel by ordering a set of euro-spec springs. Check with "Stiggs" on the part numbers. He had a set he ordered and subsequently sold a while back.

Good luck.
The Ero-spec springs are not that great for the W209. They dropped the rear a bit but didn't do much for the front.

I don't think the W209 has spring pads....do they?

Sorry to thread-jack OP but i felt i didn't need to make a new thread since this one is active.

Can someone help me regarding a C55/CLK55 KW V2's. Are they the same part #/same set? Reason is i have a 2007 CLK550 and i'm looking to get the K2's from a C55 but when i called KW they said they stopped making the V2 for 07 and UP and i could only get a V3. I asked them if i can get a V2 for a w209 CLK55 and stick it on (since it's the same car and almost the same engine) but they said they weren't sure. Any help guys?

Yes they do. I have changed mine out from a #1 pad, then to a #3, then later to a #2. (stock is a #1 on my car).

Mine came with #3 in the rear. I dropped on H&R springs and replace the #3 with #4. It looks almost even front and rear.

Conclusion: Coilovers are your best choice... but which one haha
never had any review on the last 4
My only comment would be, if you chose to replace the springs, get the matching shocks to go with them. It is NEVER a good idea to lower your car by replacing the spring alone.

/\ i wouldn't say it's never a good idea. It depends on your usage. If this is the case, no companies would just sell springs alone. This is just one of many reasons it's ok to use springs alone.

I could have sworn the dealership told me there are no spring pads on the W209. So if I want to lower the front some more, what spring pad # do I want?

+1. There is no pad for the front. I watched my mechanic install my springs. Only the rear has pad. You want to have the thickest pad in the rear, #4 to get close to even out the gap if you lower with springs

Soo
KW V2 is for W209 2003 to 2006
KW V3 is for W209 2007 +

Is that what KW told you?

I'm pretty sure W209 2003 + up to 2009 use the same or almost same part
suspension and should fit. KW V2 or V3

That's a good question... anyone?

Yes. I got a mix up over at KW, there is NO V3 for the W209. The V2 that is used for 03-06 is the same that is used for 07+. The KW V2 Part# is 15225004.
