I use a 16x7.5 they fit 255x50x16 DR's I got them on tire rack for $99 each. I shopped under a C240 to get into 16inch wheels. they fit perfect.

The rims weigh 20lbs each and with Hoosier DR"s they only weigh 37lbs!

Damn 37lbs is light!!! How do you like the Hoosier DR's???

Weld wont make wheels for us If you have a connection I'd be in for a set. The closest we can get to "drag" wheels are CCW's. I'm running 16" CCW Classics with Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial in 255/50/16. Also have a pair of 18" Koseis that are pretty light

Based on a forum tip from Juicee63 I went looking for a 17x9 drag wheel. I wound up buying a pair of Rial Nogaro wheels sized 17x9 ET 40. They require a 15mm spacer to clear the rear brake caliper on my SL55 and even with the spacer the clearance is a scant 1 or 2mm. It couldn't be any tighter.

The Nogaro wheel with a 275/40-17 Hoosier drag radial mounted weighs 46 lbs. The tire supposedly weighs about 21 lbs so each wheel must weigh about 25 lbs. Not bad for an off-the-shelf cast wheel.

I was hoping to use my new setup at the March MIR track day but, alas, Wednesday doesn't work for me.
