To sell or not?
Should I sell or keep the W208? To me my W208 is the same car it was 5 years ago when I purchased it. It looks are terrific, I prefer it over the W209 & the new E-coupe. Power is superb. Handling is nice and it still has curb appeal. I put the stock wheels back on, cleaned it up and she is looking great. Just like 5 years ago.
The market sucks and I hate to give my car away for less than a Honda Civic. It's still a great car. If I keep her I really won't loose that much more in depreciation since it has dropped so much already.
However now that I've moved back to easy-living NC I would love to have a manual transmission again, since the back roads are my daily commute. A 911S has always been on my radar and I just love the looks and you can't beat the handling, driver feedback and responsiveness. It's a bit faster and overall a more unique vehicle.
Thoughts?

I've driven both and believe it or not prefer the 997S over the 996tt. The Turbo can't be beat for speed and mod potential. It is also pretty bullet proof with the engine from the GT1 racer, and it looks great. But, I prefer the way the 997S feels from behind the wheel. The rwd set up provides much more steering feedback and the chassis has a better balance IMO. While not as powerful as the Turbo on the road, the 997S makes the me extract more from the car to perform. Which means I feel more connected and feel like I'm a better driver in a 997S than a 996tt. Also the 997 has the 996 interior beat by a far margin and that matters to me.
