My 2005 clk 55 makes a whiney noise when it is started. Mercedes told me this noise is common for the amg models. Any suggestions?

My 2005 CLK 55 does the same exact thingy... the colder it is outside the louder it is.... I came to be accustomed to it.

i think it has something to do with the oil. there is some kind of pump that circulates oil through the engine at start-up to make sure it is properly lubricated. this is a very layman answer as i am no expert on this subject. this is however the jist of what i read on this topic.

Thanks for the response. I spoke to a Mercedes mechanic today and he assured me the noise is common.
