Fast help please *Anyone with W211 Airboxes on a (N/A W210,W208) M113 V8*

Hi!

I got a call from the guy whi is mounting the S/C. And they are going to install the W211 E55K Twin-airboxes on my W210. He told me that there where not enough space between the MAF and the bulkhead (Correct name?) So he wonders if there should be any distance thing or so, so that the Y-pipe can't fit in there Anyone who has a pic or have done this? I guess it's the same on the W208 CLK 55 AMG?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

i don't have a S/C. but i do have the 55K intake on a M113 E50 engine. CLK 500. all i can say is that it is TIGHT! it is really close to breaking the seals. i guess just make sure it seals the intake, then just tighten the clamps down real hard.

Thanks. Yes, i guess that it's the S/C that makes it so tight. I did a pic on what it is that makes it not fit. The pipe is where the cooling water runs through and it seems as if you need a intake with a different bend so it can come around these pipe where the water runs through.

You need to grind down the excess plastic on the MAF to fit past the charger pipes as well as remove the rubber gasket in the y-pipe to make it work. Use a sealent to seal the y-pipe

Thanks alot! Do you think it will work on a W210 to? They seem to be quite a bit shorter then your CLK55 engine bay?

Maybe your setup is different than mine I would think its the same. Did you try shaving down the excess plastic on the MAF yet? I know mine sat up against the water passage after I grinded down all the excess plastic. There is very little space between the firewall and charger, there was a hole in the firewall carpet from rubbing on my car And now there is an even bigger pipe lol
